Privacy Policy

Last updated: 20 October 2026

This privacy policy explains how Bold Digitals collects and uses personal information when you visit bold-digitals.com, use our free SEO tools or get in touch with us. We’ve kept it as short and clear as we can.

Who we are

Bold Digitals is based at Av. da Liberdade 195, 1250-142 Lisboa, Portugal. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your information, email us at contact@bold-digitals.com.

What we collect

We only collect what we need:

  • Enquiry details. When you fill in a form on our website, we collect your name, email address, website, budget, the service you’re interested in and your message.

  • SEO tool usage. When you run a check with one of our free SEO tools, we process the domain or page you enter and your IP address. We use your IP address to apply the daily limit of 10 checks.

  • Security checks. Our SEO tools are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which processes technical information such as your IP address and browser details to tell people apart from bots.

  • Anonymous statistics. Our website platform, Framer, counts how many people visit each page. These statistics are aggregated and don’t identify you.

We don’t ask for sensitive information, such as health details, and we don’t buy personal data from third parties.

How and why we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to provide our services. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and then performing that contract.

  • To keep our SEO tools available and fair by stopping bots and enforcing the daily limit. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in protecting our website from abuse.

  • To improve our website by seeing which pages people find useful. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running and improving our business.

  • To meet our legal obligations, such as keeping financial records if you become a client.

We don’t make automated decisions about you, and we won’t add you to a marketing mailing list without your permission.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run our website and business, and only as far as they need it:

  • Framer, which hosts our website and processes form submissions.

  • Cloudflare, which runs the back end of our SEO tools and the Turnstile security check.

  • Our business email provider, which we use to receive and reply to enquiries.

  • DataForSEO, which supplies the data behind our SEO tools. It receives only the domain or page you check, not your IP address or any other personal information.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, for example to comply with a court order.

International transfers

Some of our providers store or process data outside the UK and the European Economic Area, for example in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on recognised safeguards such as adequacy decisions, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries: up to 2 years after our last contact with you, unless you become a client.

  • Client records: for as long as we work together, and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting law requires.

  • IP addresses for the SEO tools’ daily limit: deleted automatically after about 26 hours.

  • SEO tool results: cached for 7 days so repeat checks load faster. The cache stores the domain and its results, not who requested them.

Cookies

We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don’t run Google Analytics or similar tracking tools. Our page statistics come from Framer’s built-in analytics, which doesn’t use cookies to track you.

Cloudflare Turnstile may use technology that is strictly necessary to protect our SEO tools from bots. Because it’s essential for security, it doesn’t need your consent. If we ever add non-essential cookies, we’ll ask for your consent first and update this policy.

Your rights

Under UK and EU data protection law, you have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you

  • have inaccurate information corrected

  • have your information deleted

  • restrict or object to how we use your information, including where we rely on legitimate interests

  • receive your information in a portable format

  • withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent

To use any of these rights, email contact@bold-digitals.com. We’ll reply within one month, and there’s normally no charge.

How to complain

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to Portugal’s data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), or, if you live in the UK, to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Children

Our website and services are aimed at businesses. They aren’t intended for children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
